STORY

You are an employee of GATE, working on pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and explaining the unexplainable, including various anomalies and paranormal phenomena: from gravity-warping artifacts to supernatural entities with highly pronounced violent instincts. Security and secrecy are of the utmost importance... most of the time.

A catastrophic security failure has turned your workplace into a battlefield: anomalous entities are roaming free, enemies from other dimensions are breaking through portals, and a secret military sect known as the Order is launching indiscriminate attacks on labs and personnel in an attempt to seize artifacts and eliminate the chaos.

Containment procedures have failed, and help is not coming. You and your fellow scientists, now trapped deep underground, must band together to escape to the surface. Until then, you'll have to make yourselves at home in the underground complex.

GAMEPLAY

Abiotic Factor brings the atmosphere of 90s sci-fi to the survival crafting genre in an open world, offering exciting character development. The multiplayer mode supports up to 6 players, who can choose a doctorate degree and develop their scientist, equip themselves, and explore the vast underground complex filled with supernatural artifacts, failed experiments, and interdimensional enemies.

SCIENCE VS BRUTALITY

There are plenty of dangers to go around: aggressive soldiers, aliens hunting for food, and the most advanced robotic security forces attacking the overworked staff. But you’re a scientist, not a fighter, so you'll need to use your doctorate and outsmart your enemies. Create clever and strange tools, weapons, and equipment—from simple nets and wooden bats to laser guns and intricate traps—anything your brilliant scientific mind can dream up!

HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE

You’ll be here for a while, so make yourself comfortable and feel at home. Scavenge for resources in abandoned offices and labs, raid vending machines, and use company property to build a new operational base as you explore the facility. When it’s time to move and relocate, you’ll have access to hand trucks, forklifts, off-road vehicles, teleporters, and more.

Put on your lab coat and earn your doctorate in fields like plant genetics, military analysis, or structural engineering (there are many other specializations to choose from).
