You are Sir Mordred, the fateful opponent of King Arthur, once a black knight of grim legends. You killed King Arthur, but before his death, he struck you down as well. Both of you are dead, yet both of you live.

The Lady of the Lake, ruler of the mysterious island of Avalon, has revived you to put an end to a true nightmare. She wants you to embark on a knightly quest. She desires you to finish what you started: kill King Arthur or whatever he has become since she took his dying mortal shell to Avalon.

The Dark Fate of the Kingdom

Explore the terrifying lands where horrific monsters and magic spawn hide in forests and castles. The battle between Arthur and Mordred brought death: both fell at each other's hands. It’s time to face the consequences. Arthur, resurrected on Avalon, has become a mad immortal king, and his pain gradually turns this magical place into a nightmare version of Britain. You are Mordred. You have been brought back to find Arthur, kill him, and end this curse.

The Resurrected Round Table

Gather your knights and send them on quests with diverse tactical battles! Assemble a team of heroes from six classes: Defender, Champion, Marksman, Scout, Mystic, and Sorcerer. Level them up, earn unique skill points, and equip them with the best gear found in missions. But be cautious! Heroes can die, and healing from wounds, diseases, and curses takes time. Between missions, ensure Camelot has everything it needs for recovery and prepare various heroes for varying challenges.

The Question of Loyalty

Heroes are your primary resource, but they are not just a set of numbers! Each has a vibrant personality, goals, rivals, unique traits, skills, and interactions. They will carefully weigh your decisions! Resolve disputes, show kindness, pair heroes that can work together, and send them on missions that suit them best. Act wisely, as their loyalty depends on many factors. They may even leave or rise against you!

Becoming a Monarch

As a king, you have your own personality, determined by your actions and moral choices. A morality scale shows your commitment to Christianity or the old faith, tyranny or virtue. Your decisions affect this scale, changing gameplay and narrative.

The Weight of Choices

Knight’s Tale features four difficulty levels, from a leisurely story immersion to the most intense battles in Avalon’s history. If you're not looking for easy paths, try the Irreversible mode. Here, every decision matters: not only moral choices but also actions taken in turn-based battles. The campaign develops in the spirit of roguelite games: no second chances, only regrets! Dealing with consequences is part of the fun, as your choices influence the plot. Each playthrough can unfold differently, taking unexpected turns.

The End is Just the Beginning

After completing the story campaign (once or through all possible story paths), the final part of the game will unlock for the bravest players. The map will feature challenging new trials, including battles against mythical bosses. You will also encounter random quests, more loot, and character progression. The culmination will be the expulsion of Balor, the monstrous god-king of the Fomorians.

At launch, King Arthur: Knight's Tale will feature English voice acting and text localization in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Hungarian, with more languages potentially added later.
