Gameplay Overview:

1. Player Setup:

   • Player 1's Turn: The first player strategically places their ships on the grid by clicking to select squares and rotating the ships to face one of four possible directions. A purple line will appear around each ship to indicate its position.
   • Player 2's Turn: The second player follows the same process, placing their ships on their side of the grid. Both players must think carefully about their placements to minimize vulnerability while maximizing their offensive potential.

2. Initiating Combat:

   • Player 1's Attack: Once both players have set up their fleets, Player 1 takes the first shot. They can select a square on Player 2’s grid, which will trigger a "fire button." Upon pressing this button, a rocket is launched. If the shot lands in the water, a blue marker indicates a miss. If it hits an enemy ship, a red marker appears, signifying a successful strike.
   • Player 2's Counterattack: After Player 1’s turn, it’s Player 2’s turn to retaliate. They select a square on Player 1’s grid, activating their own "fire button" to launch a rocket. The same visual indicators will show whether they’ve missed or hit a ship, allowing both players to keep track of the battle's progress.

3. Tracking Damage:

   • Throughout the game, players can monitor the status of their ships on the grid. If a ship is hit, players can strategize their next moves based on the remaining vessels and their positions.

4. Winning the Game:

   • The objective is simple: sink all of your opponent's ships before they sink yours. Use cunning tactics and precise shots to outsmart your opponent and claim victory on the high seas!
