In Railway Empire, players will construct a carefully planned and efficient railway system, purchasing rolling stock (over 40 meticulously recreated trains), acquiring existing or building new stations, repair shops, factories, and tourist attractions. An effective and competitive railway network also requires meticulous work with personnel and the implementation of innovations, of which there are over 300 in the game. Over the course of five eras, players must not only technologically upgrade their rolling stock but also develop infrastructure assets.
However, it's important to remember that effective management and constant innovations alone are unlikely to guarantee a smooth existence and prosperity for the company. Competitors won't be sitting idly by. Representatives of rival railway networks will do everything in their power to hinder your progress. In such a struggle, any means are fair game—from sabotage to industrial espionage.
