SimCity's core gameplay centers on the creation and management of a bustling metropolis. Players strategically zone their cities into residential, commercial, and industrial areas, adjusting density based on road types and traffic flow. Each simulated citizen, or sim, possesses unique traits and jobs, influencing city dynamics. Individual sim actions, like poorly parked moving vans causing traffic jams or criminally inclined sims committing arson, can trigger chain reactions with unexpected consequences. New to the game are non-renewable resources, adding a layer of strategic depth to city expansion. Multiplayer mode allows regions within the game world to host cities from multiple players, enabling resource trading and cooperative play.

Prepare for Disaster

A hallmark of the SimCity series is its catastrophic events. Players can unleash disasters that disrupt city functions or devastate them entirely.
