On the morning of June 6, 1944, the Western Allies launched the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. D-Day marked the beginning of a brutal campaign to liberate Northwestern Europe from German control. In the months that followed, ancient fields, farms, and villages would become battlegrounds for new deadly weapons that would become legendary.

The Troop follows the campaign of British and Canadian forces as they confront the German Heer and SS troops in Normandy. Command infantry, motorized, and armored units in desperate tactical turn-based battles against an AI opponent that is complex and unpredictable, yet fair and prone to mistakes. Play as British/Canadian or German forces across more than 30 maps and in 4 game modes.

Simple and Complete Control. The Troop combines the best traditions of classic tabletop war games with the interactivity and excitement of the digital format. You have full control over your units' actions; tanks will not expose their weak side armor unexpectedly, hidden artillery will not reveal their positions with a premature shot, and infantry will not run inexplicably when victory is just a few heroic steps away. You can take your time... but any mistakes are yours and yours alone.

Your AI opponent has no special knowledge and adheres to the same rules and restrictions as you. The enemy has no clear plan, and with each playthrough, it will change its deployment and tactics.

Story Mode
Follow the narrative of the D-Day campaign by playing as various units (Commonwealth and Germany) in different situations as the story unfolds across Normandy.

Skirmish Mode
Choose your scenario, select your side, pick your forces, set enemy limits... Play. What will the opponent bring to the battle, and what tactics will they employ? You’ll have to wait and see, but it won’t be the same as last time! Endless replayability.

Campaign
Take command of determined forces in a series of interconnected, historically-based scenarios. Losses are irreversible, but surviving units gain experience and effectiveness over multiple deployments. Four campaigns are available: 8th Armoured Brigade, 21st Armoured Division, 31st Armoured Brigade, and the SS Panzer Division.

Battle Group
A dynamic operation consisting of 5–9 missions featuring random and permanent players.

Choose the difficulty, play as you wish—The Troop has no single difficulty level. Instead, players can manage various features, rules, and information settings to tailor their gameplay to the most enjoyable experiences.

A Game, Not a Simulation. The Troop was born from a long-standing passion for World War II history and turn-based games. Our goal is to provide a small glimpse into this history through engaging missions. The events depicted occur within a broad reality of historical campaigns; however, the missions themselves are fictional and designed for an entertaining challenge rather than a strict historical account. We only hope to pay tribute to the spirit of the countless memoirs and reports of actions that have been preserved and continue to captivate us.
